Rocky Patel Vintage 1990
Rocky Patel Vintage 1990
Country: Honduras
Length/Ring: 7 x 48
Shape: Churchill
Wrapper: Maduro
Strength: Full
MSRP: $7.50
Where to buy: Tinderbox, Cigars.com
My rating: stars
Box pressed at its finest is how i describe this cigar. These cigars are handmade with a blend of 7 yr-aged Dominican & Nicaraguan fillers with a vintage ‘90 Maduro wrapper. The smoke is full-bodied, creamy, smooth and full of flavor. When i first lit the cigar up it had a lot of deep smells. The first one i noticed was a slight chocolate smell followed up by a peppery note or two.
As I have stated before that Rocky Patel’s are some of my favorites and this is probably the one that caused me to say that. Rocky’s blends are some of the best in my book.

I have been meaning to review some more Rocky Patel cigars I just haven’t had a chance to. One of my first box purchases was a box of the 90’s that I split with someone else to get half a box of 92’s. Even had Rocky autograph the box.

September 1st, 2007 at 9:04 amI have smoked the Rocky Patel cigars that Cigar Aficionado recommends and I’d say that they’re okay. they aren’t full of flavors that I’m into though I guess. I haven’t tried any of his cigars with a sumatra wrapper though if there are any. Maybe I’d like those better. The ones I have tried were rather mild.
