This weekend was beautiful down here in sunny Texas. I had the coffee on Saturday morning and needed a good smoke to top it off. I found a Trinidad Belicoso that I had for a long time in my humi. I believe it had around 3 years or so of age. I have only had a couple other Trinidad’s before so this was going to be a new experience.
The cigar was an attractive 3 country blend and smelled of grass and hay. The wrapper had a couple of large veins as you can see from the pictures. The burn was good for the first half but started to run a little on me, maybe due to the veins. I smoked this cigar in the morning which turned out to be a small mistake as it was a lot more full bodied than I had anticipated. My head had started spinning a little by the half way mark, it could have also been the 3 cups of coffee as well.
The cigar had some great flavors of leather and earth and had a great balance to it. Every puff had a nice strong but smooth flavor, which I’m sure had to do with the aging. I would smoke this cigar again but in this price range I would rather smoke a Tatuaje Unicos or Don Pepin Garcia Serie jj for a few bucks less.
I apologize for the pictures, it was really bright outside.
