Famous Nicaraguan 3000
Size: Toro (5.5 x 54)
MSRP: $47.99 (Bundle of 20) about $2.40 a stick
So since the $1.6 billion lottery drawing has come to an end and my ticket, like millions others across the country are in the trash, it’s time to come back to reality knowing that I will not be able to have Padron, Davidoffs, or Opus X’s as my everyday smoke. So with that realization, it is time for a new segment to the site, Bargain Beauties. We all want the best stick for the best price but more often than not, a deal too good to be true is exactly that with cigar. So this series will focus on great cigars at a price point less than $6.00. So first on this series is the Famous Nicaraguan 3000.
The Famous Nicaraguan 3000 is an exclusive to famous-smoke.com and comes in a bundle of 20. There are four sizes including a Toro, Grande Robusto, Torpedo, and Presidente. Made in one of the top factories in Esteli, you can expect a quality medium-full to full-bodied cigar that is nice and smooth. It has a Ecuadorian Habano wrapper and has Nicaraguan fillers and definitely does not look or feel like a cheap, bargain cigar.
This cigar is by no means the most complex cigar but for a bargain stick, I would not expect it to be. However, it has a fantastic burn, great draw, and some great flavors that include plenty of spice, a little pepper, a dash of coffee, and plenty of earthy tones throughout. It has a great blend of those flavors and for about $2.40 a stick, this cigar is a STEAL! I honestly would pay $6 bucks for this cigar and not think twice as I have had plenty of $8 sticks that did not burn or taste nearly this well!
So in conclusion, I will use a pun fitting for the time of year we are in, World Series time, and that this stick is a “home run” in the bargain cigar world. I bought a bundle never having tried these and can honestly say I see another purchase of these in the near future. Keep the Famous Nicaraguan 3000 in your humidor for those times you need to work outside, or when your unsure how much time you have but don’t want to waste one of those Fuente’s, or better yet, keep them available for that buddy that you know will ask for a cigar but will probably only finish 1/4 of it. You will not be disappointed.
Bargain Beauties Score – 4.5 out of 5
I was introduced to cigars and had my first stick in 2015. Since then, I have gone headfirst into the amazing world of cigar culture. Living in Texas has its perks as cigar lounges and limited cold weather allows for an amazing cigar experience. Some of my favorite brands are CAO, Camacho, Davidoff, Southern Draw, and anything done by AJ Fernandez.
