Carnero is available in four classic Cuban shapes \u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 Lonsdale (6\u00e2\u20ac\u009d x 44), Robusto (5\u00e2\u20ac\u009d x 50), Churchill (7\u00e2\u20ac\u009d x 50), and Belicoso (6\u00e2\u20ac\u009d x 52).\u00c2\u00a0 Twenty cellophane-protected cigars come in a Cuban-style \u00e2\u20ac\u0153dress-up\u00e2\u20ac\u009d heavy cardboard box,\u00c2\u00a0 with bold Ram\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Head logo.\u00c2\u00a0 Manufacturer\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s suggested retail pricing for this all-long-filler, handmade premium cigar line is an accessible $5 to $6.<\/p>\n

\u00e2\u20ac\u0153We sensed the right entry cigar would appeal to smokers who want the perfect complement to a steak dinner, red wine and maybe spirits.\u00c2\u00a0 The Corojo-wrapped Carnero is strong without apology.\u00c2\u00a0 Even though it has an all-Dominican filler, which normally means a soft smoke, the binder is an equally powerful Connecticut Broadleaf.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n

Mahroukian emphasizes the fact that this is not a strong but flavorless cigar.\u00c2\u00a0 The filler\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s base leaves fit the top-quality Dominican profile \u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 smooth and creamy on the palate, with a rich fragrance and bouquet.<\/p>\n

The second offering, the Connecticut-wrapped Carnero, is no less eyebrow-raising.\u00c2\u00a0 Again, the all-Dominican filler suggests a mild smoke, but it has a medium-full body, due to the Connecticut Broadleaf binder.<\/p>\n

The tobacco in both Carnero cigars is aged a full two years, with another six months on the finished cigars.\u00c2\u00a0 Carnero is now in production in the Dominican Republic.\u00c2\u00a0 An introductory program of incentives for smokers are in planning, and will be announced in early 2012.<\/p>\n

\u00e2\u20ac\u0153We only wish we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d done this two years ago,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d laughs Mahroukian.\u00c2\u00a0 His excitement is understandable \u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Carnero isn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t the company\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s first premium cigar,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d he reveals.\u00c2\u00a0 In 1995, JM emerged on the premium cigar scene, with \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Espa\u00c3\u00b1ola,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d JM\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s premiere fine cigar.\u00c2\u00a0 By 2000, the company retreated from the declining premium cigar market.\u00c2\u00a0 They retained the tobacco, nonetheless, and obtained strong sales early on, with this cigar, which became \u00e2\u20ac\u0153JM\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Dominican.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d\u00c2\u00a0 Like today\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s JM\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Dominican, this original hand-rolled, value-priced cigar had an all-medium-length filler of choice Dominican tobaccos.\u00c2\u00a0 JM Tobacco also included a nice touch \u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 punch-cut heads.\u00c2\u00a0 JM\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Dominican has not only enjoyed sales success in its eleven year history, it is enjoying very strong sales, in today\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s \u00e2\u20ac\u0153moving-down\u00e2\u20ac\u009d market.<\/p>\n

Mahroukian hints at an imminent major event \u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 the fifteenth anniversary of the appearance of their original Espa\u00c3\u00b1ola.\u00c2\u00a0 \u00e2\u20ac\u0153It would be a fitting boutique \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcsuperpremium\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 cigar,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d he predicts, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153to mark this JM Tobacco milestone.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n
