Tom at Cigar Warehouse has graciously supplied me with another cigar to sample and review. Today we have the Por Larranaga Cuban Grade, it is a new blend from the old brand that i can hardly ever spell right. Anyways, when i first held the cigar the wrapper was very nice and smooth. I barely saw any tobacco stems in the roll. Right away i could smell the very strong tobacco scent, it was one of the strongest, freshest smelling cigars i have seen.
After i toasted the foot of this beauty i took my first puff and could sense lots of fresh rich tobacco taste. There were also some hints of nutmeg on the initial puffs. As the cigar was burning down i got some leathery notes with pepper on the back end. It was a very tasty cigar that i really enjoyed. Overall i would recommend this cigar to those who enjoy a strong yet smooth taste.
I am the Chief Editor of In The Humidor and have been running this site since 2007! I enjoy a great cigar with friends and just hanging around the house. I have 3 beautiful daughters and a wonderful wife, we live in the Dallas, Tx area. I also enjoy a good bourbon, craft beer, and absolutely love the ocean and beach.
