CASA CUEVAS CIGARS TO RELEASE THE “CUEVAS RESERVA” AT THE 2019 IPCPR

(Miami, Florida) June 12, 2019— Casa Cuevas Cigars, makers of handmade premium cigars to release the Cuevas Reserva Natural and Cuevas Reserva Maduro at the 2019 IPCPR in Las Vegas. The patriarch of the four-generation tobacco family, Luis Cuevas Sr. originally introduced the Cuevas Reserva brand in the early 2000’s and was limited in availability until now.

Luis Cuevas Sr. introduced the Casa Reserva brand in the early 2000’s but was faced with a huge dilemma. At that point, it was either take a chance and put forth efforts (and capital) to introduce his own brand, or concentrate on his newly thriving factory, which was blending and rolling quality private label cigars for other companies.

Luis Sr.  decided to sacrifice potential glory for long-term stability for his family. Years later, in 2016, his son Luis Cuevas Jr. convinced his father to create their own line of cigars, Casa Cuevas Cigars. The father and son team decided it was now time for the full-scale distribution of the Cuevas Reserva brand.

The Casa Reserva Maduro features a Mexican San Andres wrapper, a Dominican, Pilloto Cubano binder, and Dominican and Nicaraguan (ometepe) fillers, this blend is a personal favorite of Luis Cuevas Sr. as it boasts a full-flavor smoking experience, in a perfectly balanced medium to full bodied cigar.

The Casa Reserva Natural features an Habano binder with a mix of fillers from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, and the U.S.A., all wrapped in an Ecuadorean Connecticut wrapper. This blend provides a perfectly smooth smoking experience which features nuanced earthy flavors.

President of Casa Cuevas Cigars, Luis Cuevas Jr. stated: “The Cuevas Reserve for my father was supposed to be the Cuevas signature brand back well over a decade ago. As with all things in life, plans always change. I am proud to have worked closely with my father and my son Alec Cuevas, who is now part of the family business recreating this blend.  I am ecstatic that this brand has come full circle, as we can now present it as a family project to the consumer.”

The Cuevas Reserva’s are beautifully packaged in vintage Cuban style 20 count boxes.

Both blends are initially released in three vitolas with more to follow in the future.

Aganorsa Creates Giant Perfectos for JFR Lunatic

Aganorsa leaf has added an exciting new blend in three unique perfecto sizes to the JFR Lunatic brand. Lunatic Loco consists of three GIANT Perfecto Nicaraguan puros in 4.75 x 60, 4.75 x 70, and 5.5 x 80 vitolas. The cigars are made with 100% Aganorsa Leaf tobacco and are wrapped in the proprietary Shade Grown Corojo Maduro cover leaf grown exclusively by Aganorsa in Jalapa, Nicaragua. Medium to full flavored with a rich body and a long, sweet finish, Lunatic Loco stays true to its name with this series of cigars that push the boundaries of both size and flavor.

“The blend is fantastic” states Terence Reilly, who serves as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “Equally important, the unique vitolas combine with the dark beauty of the wrapper to create a powerful visual impact and make the Lunatic Loco immediately stand out in the humidor.”

Max Fernandez states: “Some have told us that growing Maduro capa like this is in Nicaragua is impossible and unrewarding. I guess you can call us crazy because we believed we could create a Maduro unlike any other. The only reason we make cigars is to show the delicious beauty of the soils of Nicaragua and perfect the expression of flavors. The size of the Lunatic Perfectos in this case only adds to the elegance of these cigars.”

Lunatic Loco will be available at IPCPR in three fat perfecto vitolas: El Loquito (4.75 x 60), El Loco (4.75 x 70), and El Gran Loco (5.5 x 80). All are packaged in boxes of ten cigars. Suggested retail prices will range from $8.70-$9.99.

H. UPMANN HISPANIOLA BY JOSE MENDEZ WILL BE AVAILABLE AT 2019 IPCPR

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Altadis U.S.A., maker of world-renowned premium cigars, is introducing the newest in the H. Upmann series, the H. Upmann Hispaniola by Jose Mendez. The brand is partnering with Jose Mendez for this special project, which will serve as a passport to the island of Hispaniola.
In 1492 Christopher Columbus came ashore this island and named it Hispaniola (today known as the Dominican Republic and Haiti). Little did Columbus know that he had stumbled upon what would become one of the most important lands in all of tobacco. H. Upmann is paying tribute to this island through this new offering, that features exclusive varieties from the Dominican Republic such as Olor, Pilotico and Andullo tobacco – the last two developed exclusively for Altadis by the Mendez family, the largest
tobacco grower in the island.
Andullo tobacco – indigenous to the island of Hispaniola and rarely used for handmade premium cigars – undergoes a specialized fermentation process that helps accentuate the qualities of the leaf.  This tobacco is then used in the filler, which provides the cigar with strength, rich aroma and deep flavor rarely seen in any other tobaccos. The result is a unique smoking experience.

Rafael Nodal, Head of Product Capability for Tabacalera USA. Stated: “Jose Mendez & Co. has an amazing library of rare and special Dominican tobacco. Together with Siegfried Maruschke, grandson of Jose Mendez and President of the company, we have created a cigar which highlights the spirit of Hispaniola and takes us on a journey through the most epresentative tobacco varieties of the island”
H. Upmann Brand Manager Candela Diaz added, “We are very excited to expand the H. Upmann brand with the help of collaborators, such as Jose Mendez. It was quite the experience to see this ancient andullo tobacco brought back to life; our partners in Jose Mendez have done an outstanding job. We look forward to showcasing this one of a kind cigar in Las Vegas at the 2019 IPCPR,” she said.
The H. Upmann Hispaniola is a full-flavored, medium to full bodied cigar that features Dominican fillers and binder within an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper. The andullo tobacco is mixed within the filler to create
a richly complex smoking experience. The blend will be available in 20 count boxes in three different vitolas:
Robusto, (50 x 5): $8.50
Toro (52 x 6 1/8): $8.95
Belicoso (50 x 6): $8.80

Hiram & Solomon Cigars is pleased to announce, the availability of our latest creation to fill out the company’s portfolio of fine premium cigars – The Grand Architect.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

June 2, 2019

Hiram & Solomon Cigars is pleased to announce, the availability of our latest creation to fill out the company’s portfolio of fine premium cigars – The Grand Architect.

The Grand Architect gets its name from one of the founding principles of Freemasons.

“It is appropriate that a society founded on the principles of architecture, which symbolizes the terms of that science to moral purposes, and whose members profess to be architects of a spiritual temple should view the Divine Being, under whose holy law they are constructing that edifice, as their Master Builder or Great Architect. Sometimes, but less correctly, the title ‘Grand Architect of the Universe’ is found.”

The Grand Architect is a blend of select aged tobacco, including a rare Paraguay leaf that is also present in both the Entered Apprentice and Veiled Prophet and produces an inviting aroma.

• Wrapper – Corojo

• Binder – Seco Habano

• Fillers – Paraguay and 2 types of Nicaraguan Ligero

The Hiram & Solomon Grand Architect, is expressed in three popular vitolas and comes packaged in 20-count blue lacquered boxes:

• Robusto – 5 x 50

• Toro – 6 x 52

• Gran Toro – 6 x 60

Hand crafted at Plasencia Cigars in Esteli, Nicaragua, the Grand Architect has a retail price set between $10.00 and $12.00 USD.

If you are attending the 2019 IPCPR, we invite you to preview the Grand Architect at the Hiram & Solomon booth #3864.

For more information or questions contact us at [email protected] or Fouad Kashouty at +1 (732) 580-3266.

About Hiram & Solomon Cigars

As fellow Brethren WB Fouad Kashouty and Brother George Dakrat enjoyed cigars together, the discussion would eventually lead to the same realization: there was no accessible cigar on the market for Freemason smokers that carried the square and compass, nor any other Masonic Emblem. Upon coming to this conclusion, the topic of the conversation shifted into countless private meetings. The symposium consisted of talk concerning the possibility of creating not only a Masonic-themed cigar, but a quality cigar that would not just physically represent Freemasons all over the world but contain within it a quality that could match the caliber of excellence that the Brethren themselves contain. The dream of creating and proudly possessing such a cigar was never extinguished in WB Fouad Kashouty’s and Brother George Dakrat’s hearts.

Being one of the most fundamental aspects of Freemason Teachings, a way to incorporate charity into such a meaningful company was a must. In order to have the opportunity to give back to our supporters, Hiram & Solomon Cigars donates part of the sales profits to various Masonic and non-Masonic community charity events.

Our only hope is that creation of these cigars will bring positive experiences to all types of people the world over. Perhaps it will bring Brethren closer together as they bond over smoke after a meeting. Maybe it will bring a non-Brother a drive to learn about Freemasonry and its history. Perchance our experience inspires someone else to follow their dream and never give up. At the very least, we can rest assured that we have provided a consistently tasty, quality cigar that can appeal to everyone’s palate and represent Freemasons all over the world with pride.

Ahead of 2019 IPCPR, Alan Rubin Announces Initial Lars Tetens Relaunch Brands and larstetenscigars.com

Fort Lauderdale, FL (June 4, 2019)

Alec Bradley Cigar Co. founder Alan Rubin first announced his acquisition of Lars Tetens Brands in April of this year. The acquisition created a partnership between the two cigar makers, Lars Tetens and Alan Rubin; as well as a sales and distribution agreement with Alec Bradley Cigar Co.

Since 1979 Lars Tetens has been renowned in the cigar world for innovating a unique and labor intensive conditioning process using essential oils and botanicals to make the most exotic premium cigars on the market. Conditioned cigars are new to the world of Alec Bradley and at the time of announcement, neither Alan nor Lars speculated as to which of the plethora of cigar brands Lars Tetens would resurrect under the new partnership.

Only a few weeks ahead of the 2019 International Premium Cigar & Pipe Retailers Association (IPCPR) Trade Show in Las Vegas, representatives from Alec Bradley can confirm that the new online home for Lars Tetens is larstetenscigars.com; as well, they have announced the initial brands that are being relaunched in full scale.

“This is a very unique opportunity for Alec Bradley and Lars Tetens. We sifted through a ton of Lars’s grandfathered blends and lines and found the most unique items to feature as our first foray into the world of Lars Tetens” said, Alec Bradley Director of Sales and Marketing, Jonathan Lipson.

H. UPMANN NICARAGUA BY A.J. FERNANDEZ NOW OFFERED IN MINI TIN FORMAT

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Altadis U.S.A., maker ofworld-renowned premium cigars, will introduce a 38 X 4 sized handmade mini version of the H. Upmann Nicaragua by A.J. Fernandez, available in mid-June.

The original H. Upmann Nicaragua, which launched in 2017, exposed the time-honored brand to a new generation of adult cigar smokers. The brand will now be available to those looking for a handmade premium cigar in a convenient time-efficient vitola. This vitola has aptly been named, Papi. “Papi” is a term of endearment, frequently used by master blender A.J. Fernandez, for those close to him.

The H. Upmann Nicaragua Papi sets itself apart from other tins, as this vitola is a true, handmade, premium cigar made at the esteemed Tabacalera Fernandez factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. Staying true to its 2017 incarnation, the H. Upmann Nicaragua Papi features the same blend as the original vitolas. Adult cigar smokers will continue to savor the same Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, dressed over a Nicaraguan Corojo 99 binder, and Nicaraguan Criollo 98/Dominican Piloto Cubano fillers.

“We felt strongly that A.J. Fernandez could create a small 38 X 4 sized vitola, that would fill that need for those adult consumers looking for a premium short smoke,” says H. Upmann brand manager Candela Diaz. “The H. Upmann Nicaraguan Papi is a masterpiece blend, which will be housed in an attractive and convenient, easy to carry decorative tin.”

Each H. Upmann Nicaragua Papi tin will house six 38 X 4 cigars with an MSRP of $23.10.

CIGAR MARKETPLACE ANNOUNCES FIRST WAVE OF PARTNERSHIPS WITH MANUFACTURERS

Cigar Marketplace aims to be the new way B2B is conducted in the cigar industry.

(Miami, FL) May 22, 2019 – Cigar Marketplace, a new dynamic online platform, will bring the cigar manufacturer and retailer together. was greeted with an overwhelming response after its announcement this past April. Cigar Marketplace is set to launch during the 2019 IPCPR in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Cigar Marketplace is happy to announce that the following manufacturers have agreed to terms with the Cigar Marketplace platform:

Companies include, but not limited to AJ Fernandez Cigar Company, C.L.E. Cigar Company, Casa Cuevas Cigar, Caldwell Cigar, HF Barcelona, Los Caidos Cigars, PDR Cigars, Gurkha Cigars, Oliva Cigars, and Room 101.

Starky Arias, Founder and CEO of Cigar Marketplace, stated:” We felt an immediate response from hundreds of retailers and manufacturers alike, after the initial announcement of the Cigar Marketplace. We strongly believe that the Cigar Marketplace will fill a much-ignored gap in the industry. By facilitating the ordering process, the result will be more efficient transactions for both retailers and manufacturers alike. We look forward to formally presenting the Cigar Marketplace concept at the 2019 IPCPR in Las Vegas.”

The Cigar Marketplace will soon announce details to a formal presentation, which will take place at the 2019 IPCPR in Las Vegas. Retailers will be invited to attend. Details to be announced in future communication.

About the Cigar Marketplace:

Founded in 2018, Cigar Marketplace saw that while the world was getting smaller for most businesses, B2B cigar industry wholesale was still operating without the aid of the internet.  While the human touch is required when making and selling a premium brand, getting that brand to the people who love it these days requires the help of technology. Cigar Marketplace makes these problems a thing of the past. Retailers can now directly order from the suppliers they want without wait, getting their customers the brands, they demand. Wholesalers no longer need to depend on going store-by-store to find the retailer that fits their brand. On top of that, both sides have 24/7 access, simplified product comparisons, free shipping, streamlined marketing, and administrative costs, and improved customer satisfaction.
